InfoSpace's Dogpile.com Releases Search Widget

Features Include Arfie, an Interactive Desktop Pal, a Customized
Search Bar, and Access to SearchSpy

BELLEVUE, Wash., Jun 19, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- InfoSpace, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:INSP) Dogpile.com, the search site that combines the top results from the leading search engines, today announced the release of a new search widget - Arfie, your desktop pal. The graphically appealing desktop pal widget features Arfie, Dogpile's mascot, and his doghouse. Users will be able to play fetch with Arfie, pet him and watch him romp around their desktop. Additionally, the desktop widget will give users access to Dogpile's proprietary metasearch technology directly from their desktops, as well as allow users to follow in real-time what the world is searching for through Dogpile's SearchSpy technology.

Elements of the 'Arfie - your desktop pal' widget include:

-- Have fun with Dogpile's canine mascot, Arfie. In addition to using Arfie to pull and organize the best search results on the Web, users can pet, play fetch and enjoy Arfie on their desktops. When users have found what they're looking for, they can put Arfie to bed by minimizing him to their taskbars. He's hypoallergenic, won't bite your mailman and is already house broken.

-- A customizable Dogpile single-search bar that blends the results of top search engines, including Google, Yahoo!, MSN, and Ask. The widget allows users to access results from multiple search engines in the time it takes to conduct one search, directly from their desktops.

-- Real-time access to Dogpile's SearchSpy feed, allowing users to catch a glimpse of what the world is currently searching for on Dogpile.com.

"Offering a little fun with your search is one critical element our team is focused on as we continue to improve Dogpile.com," said Mark Whidby, director, search product management of InfoSpace, Inc. "Our users have always loved Arfie, and now we're giving them a way to take him home with them. This widget is the first of many new engaging and useful tools we hope to launch in the coming months. A top priority as we continue to upgrade Dogpile.com is to engage and entertain our users while providing a superior search experience."
